Middle Ridge, Town of Tiburon open space
Tuesday, June 9, 2026, 1 to 3 pm
Leader: Eva Buxton
Meeting Location for Carpool: Blackie’s Pasture, Tiburon
Having reached the end of the early spring flowering season, there are still some plants to be seen on Middle Ridge, a Town of Tiburon open space parcel. A short walk along the lower fire road will take us through unmanaged, weedy vegetation to a serpentine outcrop supporting the rare Tiburon jewel-flower, Marin dwarf flax, and Tiburon paintbrush.
Directions: There is only room for a few cars at the Hippie Tree Trailhead, so we will meet at Blackie’s Pasture to carpool from there. From US 101, take exit 131 to Tiburon Blvd about (Tiburon) and drive 1.7 miles to Blackie’s Pasture.

Carpools will continue east on Tiburon Blvd. about 1 mile and make a left turn on Gilmartin Drive and go uphill for ~0.3 miles. Parking available along the street in front of 80 and 90 Gilmartin Dr. The Hippie Tree Trailhead entrance is on the curve opposite with a gate.

Bring: Water and a snack. Dress in layers.
Rain cancels. Check Meetup for notification.
