In Jungian psychology, the labyrinth is a powerful symbol of psychological transformation, closely aligned with Carl Jung’s ideas about individuation, the unconscious, and rites of passage. Unlike a maze (which is designed to confuse), a labyrinth has one intentional path that leads inward and then back out, a metaphor for inner work. This presentation will explore the labyrinth as an archetypal symbol of transformation. It will consider historical, mythological, and metaphorical perspectives, followed by a facilitated group labyrinth walk to integrate the experience.
