LUNAH’s Incredible Hikes: Vetter Mountain Lookout from Chilao Campground!

We will meet at the Silver Moccasin Trailhead at Chilao Campground.
From the main campground entrance drive in 200 yards to Little Pines Loop entrance and find a spot to park. We meet there at 0930.
We will then begin our hike to Vetter Mountain Lookout, approximately 6 miles, out and back, on the Silver Moccasin Trail.

After the hike you can hang with us back at our campsite for some wine, cheese, and crackers, if you like, as some of us will be camping overnight.

Adventure Pass is required to park at or near the campground entrance.

Bring your water filter (optional) as there is water everywhere from the snow melt.
We will stop for lunch at the benches next to the fire lookout.
