Hike & Picnic at Nuuksio National Park

Join our social hike through Nuuksio National Park. We plan to have an easy pace, good company, and a picnic in the forest.

Everyone joins at their own responsibility. Please make sure you’re comfortable walking around 7.4km on forest trails.

🪾The route
We'll follow the Korpinkierros trail from Haukkalampi, a beginner-friendly loop of about 7.4km through forest and lakes, taking roughly 2-3 hours at an easy pace. Highlight of the route is Mustalampi lake that is popular for its rare floating peat rafts.

Getting there
By public transport: train (E, L, U or Y) from Helsinki Central to Espoo Centre, then bus 245 or 245A towards Nuuksio. Get off at Haukkalammentie stop, walk to the connecting path towards Haukkalampi (signs are there). From the bus stop it's about a 2km walk to the trailhead.

By car: follow highway 1 (Helsinki–Turku) and signs to Nuuksio/Haukkalampi. Free parking at the trailhead.

What to bring
Trail shoes, water, snacks or lunch for the picnic, light rain jacket, mosquito repellent. Bring a frisbee or cards if you have them

🐿️ Good to know
Haukkalampi has a small café open Tue–Sun 10:00–16:30. Event may be cancelled in bad weather, and we'll notify through Meetup as early as possible.
