Nuuksio Nature Walk 🌲

Join us for a relaxed nature walk on the Maahisenkierros Trail in Nuuksio!
The approximately 2 km trail includes optional nature exercises and a scenic viewpoint overlooking Lake Nuuksion Pitkäjärvi. We’ll walk at an easy pace, take photos, enjoy the views, and have a picnic.

Everyone is welcome—whether you’re new to Helsinki, visiting, or simply looking to meet new people while enjoying nature.

Difficulty: Easy to medium
Approximate duration: 3–4 hours
Meeting time: Saturday at 10:45 am
Meeting point: Espoo Railway Station, near the main entrance

We’ll leave the meeting point together at around 11:00 and walk approximately 5–7 minutes to the temporary bus terminal at Virastopiha, Bay 14.
We’ll take bus 245A at 11:25 to Haltia. Please arrive on time, as the bus does not run very frequently.

There is no participation fee. You only need a valid HSL ticket. Those travelling from central Helsinki will normally need an ABC ticket.

Please RSVP only if you’re genuinely interested and reasonably sure you can attend, as places are limited and this helps us leave room for others who would like to join.

Bring your own food or snacks, water, comfortable walking shoes, weather-appropriate clothing, insect repellent, and something to sit on.

Please note that this is not a guided tour. It is a very informal walk where we’ll explore the trail together at a relaxed pace.
The event will go ahead in light showers, so please dress accordingly. If the weather becomes significantly worse , the event will be cancelled.
