Safety is the first priority of our hikes. Therefore, all hikers in our group, including another leader who joins us, will stay behind the leader. If you don’t want to stay with us, you can always go hiking on your own, though it’s not recommended. Don’t run ahead. If you start to get too far behind, shout ahead before you’re out of range for someone to hear you. I always endeavor to keep track of everyone’s progress, but ultimately it’s your responsibility to communicate what you need.
Rock fall is one of the greatest dangers we face. Don’t unnecessarily cause any extra rock fall, and be certain to alert hikers should a rock accidentally start to fall their way.
