Turtlehead Jr Triple Slot Route L4 Chip and Calico Tanks L2

The Triple Slot Route is a fun way to get to Turtlehead Jr. It's 3 fun slots and a bunch of scrambling to boot. Start early and beat the heat. There are so many variations to this hike, we may go up one way and do a little variation on he decent.

This will be for an L4 chip.

This hike is open to those comfortable with low class 4 and exposure. Pace will be moderate at best.

Hike: Turtlehead Jr (double slot ascent) (slot descent)
Trailhead: Kraft Mt parking lot
Distance: 3ish miles
Elevation Gain: 900ish feet

What to bring:

Good sticky shoes
2-3 liters of water
Snacks
Sunscreen
Smile

Safety is the first priority of our hikes. Therefore, all hikers in our group, including another leader who joins us, will stay behind the leader.
Group Hiking:
Stay with the group behind the leader. If you don’t want to stay with us, you can always go hiking on your own, though it’s not recommended. Don’t run ahead. If you start to get too far behind, shout ahead before you’re out of range for someone to hear you. I always endeavor to keep track of everyone’s progress, but ultimately it’s your responsibility to communicate what you need.
