STEPHANIES DOUBLE CHIPMASTER-CATHERINE'S TRIPLE CHIPMASTER 3 L1 HIKES
Детали
These will all be L1s to finish Stephanie's Double ChipMaster and Catherine's Triple ChipMaster. There is no carpooling by the group unless you want to individually. You can also do each one individually if you want to just get a hike in. The location is listed for the FIRST HIKE ONLY!!
Here's how it will go:
We meet at the Lone Mountain lot off Vegas Vista Trail St. at 7am for the first one. From here we drive to the Buckskin Mountain lot off Cliff Shadows. The Trailhead is listed Buckskin Cliff Shadows Trailhead. We should get here by 8:15 am. Once we're done with Buckskin, we'll make our way to Calico Red Springs Lot and do Guardian Angel, in and out route. We should get there by 10 am. If you just want to do the last hike to Guardian Angel, that works, too.
Safety is the first priority of our hikes. Therefore, all hikers in our group, including another leader who joins us, will stay behind the leader and in front of the sweeper.
Helmets are not mandatory but they do protect your brain.
Group Hiking: Stay with the group behind the leader. If you don’t want to stay with us, you can always go hiking on your own, though it’s not recommended. Don’t run ahead. If you start to get too far behind, shout ahead before you’re out of range for someone to hear you. I always endeavor to keep track of everyone’s progress, but ultimately it’s your responsibility to communicate what you need.
Bring sufficient water for the conditions (2 liters should be sufficient in mild weather, 3 liters for hot days), snacks, sunscreen and a hat. Dress in layers for the weather forecast. Mt Charleston shoes are recommended but you may want Approach shoes for Guardian Angel.
