Passaic Watershed Mountain and Valley Hike

Join us for a very happy loop hike, more in our Passaic River series, but this time filling in some gaps of interesting places we missed on previous trips, and featuring Garrett Mountain and Rifle Camp Park this time!
We will meet at 9 am at West Falls Plaza, which we've used a couple of times, and make our way to the Passaic River. This time, we'll cross the river and follow a road upstream on the opposite side we did last time.
We'll get off of the road and walk through Laurel Grove and Mt Nebo Cemeteries, and then Holy Sepulchre Cemetery after a few blocks of road walk.
We will then take the West Side Park trails and Riverside Terrace to the east for a bit. This will lead us around the Great Falls again covering a couple of different trails from before. We then come up past the Reservoir, cross Rt 80 at New Street, and head up into Garrett Mountain Park. We'll make our way through there, and loop in a roundabout way through that park south to Rifle Camp Park. We'll loop from the east side of that as far south as we can, then back to the north on the west side. This will then take us back to Garrett Mountain, and we'll descend west though Zekeriah Park.
A few blocks on the road takes us through Diane Grimes Park, then a bit more to the Morris Canal Greenway. We will loop back to where we started from here to close this very diverse 15 mile loop.
