Let’s get a headstart on the holiday weekend, and enjoy a walk thru woods and grasslands along the North Fork of the Mokelumne River. We’ll begin at a parking lot on the north side of the historic Middle Bar Bridge, and hike about 4 miles, with a 600-foot elevation gain. The original 1912 steel-truss bridge is a single-lane structure for two-way traffic. The bridge has a weight limit and cannot accommodate heavy commercial trucks.
Bring lunch and liquids. No dogs (park rules). Rain or high heat cancels. Leader keeps an unhurried pace. Gear list and other information will be provided after approval. Each participant will be required to sign the Sierra Club Sign-In & Waiver Form at the Trailhead. Leaders: Martin Farber 808.283.8988 [kowsoitwo@gmail.com](mailto:kowsoitwo@gmail.com) and Paul Plathe
