📚 About our sessions
Please read the stories listed below before attending. For every story we will start with summarizing the story so that we have it fresh in our minds. We will share our opinions about the story, which parts we liked and which we didn't like, and we will discuss any and all aspects of the story and the writing.
📖 About this session
Sometime ago, we had a session with stories by Roberto Bolaño. One of them was set in a civilisation of rats, and inspired by another short story by Franz Kafka. That time we also read part one of "Two catholic tales", titled "The vocation". For this session, we will read the short story that inspired the first and the continuation of the second, expaniding on what we read and discussed back then.
The first story does not need any previous reading, but for the second story it is recommended to read the first part if you did not attend the previous session, here.
These are the two stories that we will discuss for this session:
"Josephine the Songstress of The Mouse Folk" 🐀🎤 by Franz Kafka (ca 10700 words)
"Chance" ⛪🔪 by Roberto Bolaño (ca 3000 words)
After the discussion feel free to stick around, socialize, and make new friends. ☕
