📚 About our sessions
Please read the stories listed below before attending. For every story we will start with summarizing the story so that we have it fresh in our minds. We will share our opinions about the story, which parts we liked and which we didn't like, and we will discuss any and all aspects of the story and the writing.
📖 About this session
Housing is a b****, isn't it? But feeling at home goes beyond that, and most of the times we end up feeling home in the most unsuspected places. Is there a place where you feel home? Do you remember having a terrible roommate that you miss? How is your dream house? All those questions and more we will deal with when discussing the stories for this session.
For this session, please, read the following stories that we will discuss:
⛴️🏚️🏖️My Old Home - Lu Xun (1921) (3700 words)
🏠😱🎶 The House Made of Sugar - Silvina Ocampo (1959) (3000 words)
☠️🏨🫵Waiting for Death in a Hotel - Italo Calvino (1949) (2800 words)
🦖👻🏡 Open House on Haunted Hill - John Wiswell (2020) (3000 words)
After the discussion feel free to stick around, socialize, and make new friends. ☕
