Modernizing Effective C++, Jon Kalb

Scott Meyer’s Effective C++ book series has been one of the most successful set of guidelines in the history of C++, but most of theses books were written long before 2011 and so cover Classic C++ rather than Modern C++.
In his on-site training classes, Jon has been presenting material based on Scott’s Effective C++ series, including material from the Classic books, but he has Modernized this material. This sessions will cover just a few of the guidelines from Effective C++ classics with updates that make them apply to Modern C++.

About the speaker:
Jon does on-site training on C++ and serves as chair for C++Now, CppCon, and the Boost Steering Committee. He will be delivering the keynote talk, “C++ Today: The Beast is Back” at C++ Russia here in Saint Petersburg.
