*Important Notice. Do not enter through the front door. There is a gate to the right of the garage that leads to the basement door. With the precious new additionn to the family if you are sick or think you may have been exposed to covid, flu, or another illness please stay home. This group is not for people who like games like monopoly. It is for experienced Euro style board gamers only. We play games like Terraforming Mars, Ark Nova, Obsession, Tapestry, Eclipse, Spirit Island and more with the average game around 2-4 hrs. This event is held at someone’s house in Alexandria. There is also 2 friendly dogs in the house. Below are some important logistical details.
Arrive on time- will typically wait about 15 minutes for people to arrive and begin playing. If you come much later than that games will be in progress and there is a high probability you won't be able to play a game. Light snacks and water or sodas will be available but feel free to bring something to share. Looking forward to meeting more gamers and playing some great games with you.

Join us for an afternoon of chess in a fun and relaxed setting. Players of all ages and skill levels are welcome! Club boards are provided. Bring your own clocks or use Chess.com's Chess Clock app. We generally meet in the blue room, which is to your right after entering. If we're not in the blue room we're at the far left near the beer tanks in the back corner.

For January's game of the month we are playing the platformer "Return of the Obra Dinn." From the devs: *In 1802, the merchant ship Obra Dinn set out from London for the Orient with over 200 tons of trade goods. Six months later it hadn't met its rendezvous point at the Cape of Good Hope and was declared lost at sea.* *Early this morning of October 14th, 1807, the Obra Dinn drifted into port at Falmouth with damaged sails and no visible crew. As insurance investigator for the East India Company's London Office, dispatch immediately to Falmouth, find means to board the ship, and prepare an assessment of damages.* It is available for PC, Mac, Switch, PS4, and Xbox. Play through it and we will discuss it on the 3rd! You do not need to play all or even any of the game to attend but please be prepared to be spoiled at the meeting :-) p.s. A Starfinder Society Scenario designed for 1st- through 2nd-level characters, playable in 2-3 hours. First Seeker Sarmak has called on the scientist Dr. Heldin Sevaille to create an inoculation for an process known as “conversion” which is transforming wildlife and residents of the Sloughscar Hills into monsters in the service of the Wreck of the Returned. The final ingredient Dr. Sevaille requires is found in a remote forest called Ste Xinnith on Marata, one of Bretheda’s moons. Dr. Sevaille dispatches a team of Starfinders to collect samples of this rare plant with the aid of a few local scientists. But trouble is brewing in Ste Xinnith… Frozen Trove, a Triaxian biotech corporation notorious for unethical and illegal methods that damage environments to maximize profits, has established a laboratory in the area, leaving a trail of destruction in their wake. With the entire ecosystem at risk, it’s time for the Starfinders to take a stand. This is an adventure in the ongoing Invasion's Edge metaplot. Written by Sara Jeffers.

We play a variety of high interaction games with a focus on Euros. Events will start with quick games while people arrive and eat lunch. We will start longer games around 2pm. **A drop-in game every Sunday afternoon at the Lillian and Albert Small Capital Jewish Museum.** The museum is located one block from the Judiciary Square Metro station (Red line). Street parking is available, and a paid garage is located at 3rd and G Streets. You do not need to be a member of the museum to participate. On entry to the building, inform the front desk staff that you are there to play mahj, and you will be directed to the Nosh Pit, where you can also enjoy a snack and coffee. **All skill levels are encouraged to participate.** **Lessons for new and returning players are available at 1:00 (please be on time).** Games begin at 1:00. Game play ends around 3:00.
