Description: All hikers must pre-register online. No dogs. Meet at 8:45 for a prompt 9:00 start to this 2-mile round-trip hike to CT's highest single-drop waterfall. (Kent Falls is higher, but has multiple drops.) The trail start out level, then climbs through the woods; we will go at an easy pace and will take frequent rests. The falls are usually spectacular at this time of year, and are well worth the hike. Hikers must wear appropriate footwear with good traction (no sneakers) and carry water, snack, sunscreen, insect and tick repellent, personal medications and first-aid supplies. Carrying poles and spikes is highly recommended, as trail conditions are unpredictable at this time of the year. Park streetside near 827 Roaring Brook Road, Cheshire. Please be sure to not block mailboxes or driveways. Meet at the end of the cul-de-sac.
