For software project planning by non-coders, Cucumber (
http://cukes.info) is the best Rails-oriented solution. While not visual like UML, it helps you to spec out the program in a way that the programmer, machine and product owner can all understand. ?For visualizations of existing code bases, I like?
http://railroad.rubyforge.org/ .?
I've created Twitter and Facebook applications before and have availability for contracting. ?Please feel free to contact me off-list for more information.

Hey Folks,
Was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on either tools or resources to do software project planning (for someone who is not a coder), for example ER or UML modeling?
Also, can anyone recommend a Rails-shop for building a somewhat simple application (specifically a Twitter app)? I am not having good luck finding top developers on Rent-a-coder, Elance, etc...
thanks
omar
