Port Mirror: A level-0 tabletop roleplaying adventure
Details
PORT MIRROR
This DCC zero-level funnel is designed for
8 to 12 zero-level characters, played by up to 6 people.
Hosted @ la vie en rose
In a surprise attack, arriving in boats off the Mirror
River, a goblin horde has sacked the village of Port
Mirror. You and a small group of villagers are the
only survivors that have not been taken prisoner
or killed. You have all found refuge in a small
gravedigger’s shack by the stable on the edge of the
village. As you lay in hiding, you hear the screams
of the dying throughout the day.
The thick cloud of smoke from the burning buildings
assaults you as the day passes to dusk. As the sun
sets, and darkness falls over the village, you can
hear the guttural sounds of the carrion scavengers
feasting on corpses. The smell of death and burnt
flesh dominates your senses. There doesn’t seem
to be any hope that the Knights of Rain Reach or
any other savior will come to Port Mirror’s rescue.
Most of the town has been set to the torch. Leaving
your hiding place, the night sky is obscured with
dust and soot from burning buildings. With almost
no ambient light there is an eerie red glow from
some of the smoldering ashes of buildings. Goblin
patrols are still lurking about and looting the town.
You hope to avoid the bloodthirsty patrols as you
try to find adequate weapons and supplies.
Searching through the smoldering structures
appears to be the best way to gather enough to
survive. You hope to find other survivors. You
believe the goblins have taken some of the prisoners
into the grand Temple of Haeyer. You have heard
chanting and screams from the temple throughout
the day. You watched as prisoners were marched
into the Mirror Mountain gold mine. It is unknown
if any of your family members are in either group.
