Onsen & Horseriding in Kanchanaburi

It’s the Year of the Fire Horse. What’s better than onsen + horse-riding?
For this car pooling trip to Kanchanaburi (2.5-3 hours drive from Bangkok), our vehicle is already half-filled with friends and looking for more positive vibes friends ! We will then take a short boat ride across the River Khwae to enjoy special access to a variety of thermal pools (with 15 different "flavors” such as coffee, blue pea flower, milk etc). Entrance fee is THB 650 per person, which includes the boat ride and access to all pools.

In the afternoon, we’ll hit one of Kanchanaburi’s more relaxed nature cafés with horses — perfect for sipping coffee, taking photos, and even trying a bit of riding. Here you can do a 15-minute horse ride with an instructor (350 THB) to get that real rustic feel and scenic backdrop ;)

Schedule:
7am: We will depart in an air-conditioned luxury van or sedan car from pickup point near Asok, Ploenchit or Nana BTS (depending on number of persons).
10.30am: Arrive at River Khwae to take a boat to a hot spring (entrance fee 650 baht) in a serene riverside forest setting. For those who prefer waterfall, there is one nearby as well.
12.30pm: Leave for lunch.
2pm: We will stop by for coffee at nearby cafes. There is plenty to choose from, with beautiful views of river khwae and the railway/train as well as the lovely nature café that also offers horse riding — great for photo ops and a gentle ride with an instructor guiding throughout. The basic riding start at 350 THB for 15 minutes (longer sessions available if you’re feeling adventurous).
In the late afternoon, we will head back to Bangkok and expect to reach around 6.30pm.

1. Admission fee: 890 Baht.
It covers the cost of car and driver rental, transportation round trip from Bangkok, fuel, toll, parking, admin (meetup) expenses etc.
Not include:
- Meals at Thai restaurants or cafes
- Entry ticket for onsen or horse-riding
- Insurance
- Personal expenses
2. Please don't be late, we can only provide 5 min grace period ;) ! Please wear sandals/ slippers and suitable clothing for dipping in the onsen. Changing/bath room is available.
3. As seats are limited, please RSVP & pay within 8 hours to reserve your seats (How to pay: Message the organiser here - please check your message box as Meetup does not send notifications. After payment, please send the confirmation slip.) If payment is not made, we'll move you to the waitlist or ‘not going’ list so as not to take up the limited seats.
- No refund: If you cancel 3 days before the event, we can only refund you when we find a new participant for the replacement.
*P/S: This is not a tour. We are a group of like-minded friends facilitating social/cultural exchanges on a casual basis - there are no guides, no hierarchy - just come to have fun !
