**Can We Learn About Sex & Intimacy — Or Do We Have to Feel It? (Part 1) **

Most of us were taught about sex.
Very few of us were taught how to experience intimacy.
We learn techniques, roles, and expectations —
Yet many of us still feel disconnected, confused, or unsatisfied in our intimate lives.
This meetup is an open, honest exploration of the difference between:

  • knowing vs feeling
  • desire vs intimacy
  • performance vs presence

Together, we’ll gently explore how intimacy actually lives — not in theory, but in the body, the nervous system, and the moments between two people.
This is not a lecture, therapy session, or sex-ed class.
It’s a guided, experiential conversation designed to deepen awareness, curiosity, and connection — with yourself and others.
What we’ll explore:
• Can intimacy really be taught — or only felt?
• Why information alone doesn’t create a connection
• The difference between desire, arousal, and intimacy
• How safety, presence, and boundaries shape closeness
• Why we often override our own signals in intimate moments
Through reflection, small-group sharing, and simple embodied exercises, we’ll slow things down and listen more closely to what’s actually happening inside us.
You’re always free to pass.
There’s no pressure to share more than feels right.
🌿 Who this is for:
• Expats, nomads, and locals curious about a real connection
• People who feel intimacy is more than technique
• Those navigating dating, relationships, or self-discovery
• Anyone tired of surface-level conversations
No prior experience needed.
Just openness and curiosity.
Your Host — Fran
Fran is an expat living in Chiang Mai and the creator of the YouTube channel “Fran’s Fresh Start in Chiang Mai.”
Through her own journey with loneliness, vulnerability, and connection far from home, Fran creates spaces where people can slow down, drop their masks, and meet each other more honestly.
Her meetups are known for being warm, social events, thoughtful, and human — where real conversations replace small talk, and curiosity replaces judgment.
🕊 A gentle note:
This event is not about explicit content, diagnosis, or fixing anyone.
It’s about awareness, presence, and choice.
Come as you are.
Leave a little more connected — to yourself and to others.
