LIBERTY WRECKS | Liveaboard

The Liberty Wrecks are 3 HTMS vessels sunk by the Royal Thai Navy during a target practice exercise, reportedly during the 70's and 80's.

These wrecks are seldom-dived, often requiring a specific expedition charter boat, so not much is known about their state or the diving conditions - This is precisely why I'm unreasonably excited to dive them.
We do know the wrecks are broken and lie somewhere between 20-30m deep (well within reach for recreational divers!).

HTMS Pattani is a Trad Class torpedo boat built March 26, 1936.
HTMS Phali is a PC-461 Class Submarine Chaser transferred to Thailand in 1952
HTMS Nhongsarhai is (probably) a Bangrachan class Minelayer which was in service from 1938–1980

The MV January Princess liveaboard boat is running a special trip to these wrecks as they transfer from Rayong to Chumphon for the end of season.

FRIDAY 30/05
Drive to Pranburi, boat departs 11pm

SATURDAY 31/05
HTMS Pattani x2
HTMs Nhongsarai x1

SUNDAY 01/06
HTMS Nhong Sarai x1
HTMS Phali x2
Return to pier around 6pm, 3-4h drive to Bangkok

*We may have to board at a nearby beach pier depending on tides. TBC before departure*

RRP 13,000THB per diver sharing a standard room with 1 other diver.
Nitrox, guides and gear all available.

Spaces are very limited, as are carpool spots. Slots secured with a 10% deposit.
