May 8th saw a release of records & video from the US Department of Defense depicting difficult-to-explain craft captured on military cameras. May 22nd saw a followup reease, with more expected to come.
These releases did not take place in a vacuum - what led up to this point? Is this all just a distraction? What kind of framework to think through what was released? And what more is coming down the pipe?

His studies in aerospace at MIT gave researcher & presenter Rick Sheridan a unique window into the revolving door established long ago between tech academia and the defense-industrial base.
As member of the nomad-oriented Institute for Globally Distributed Research and Education (IGDORE), Rick researches & writes in postwar history of technology. (Opinions & perspectives in this presentation are the author’s own and are not the opinion of his affiliated institutes).
