A Good Forest on Good Friday (21 km / moderate)

Moin, dear Hikers! Over the past few months, I've grown to love the Wingst region, a self-proclaimed recreation resort located north of Hamburg, between Stade and Cuxhaven. And on the forthcoming holiday, next Friday, I'm looking forward to showing you the most beautiful places in the area that I have discovered. Because I mean, what could contribute better to our recreation than a walk through vast forest landscapes? We will start in Wingst and end in Cadenberge, both train stations on the Hamburg - Cuxhaven line. If you would like to join me, sturdy shoes are recommended, and please bring all the food and drinks you will need for the day.

We'll meet at 9:55 at Hamburg Hbf on platform 12, section A, below the sign 'A' and take the train RE5 into the direction of Cuxhaven at 10:06. The train usually departs from platform 12 A-B, but check the displays for any changes on Friday. For the backtrip we will use the train from Caldenberge at 17:30 to Hamburg, where we should arrive at 18:56. The tickets are covered by Deutschland-Ticket or by HVV 24-7 season tickets. Otherwise, buying a Niedersachsen-Ticket is the best option (which becomes cheaper if it's shared with others).

Please play nice and only sign up if your are 100% sure that you will join! Unreliable people (no show or late cancellation) may be excluded from future events with limited capacity. Repeat offenders will be banned from the group.

As always, this is a free event, but voluntary donations are welcome and help me cover the costs of running the group. Nobody is expected to give, only do so if you can afford it and would like to. Look out for the violet donation box toward the end of the hike.
