What we’re about
This is not a nature walk group. This group is for avid hikers. Hey, we all have a tent in the closet so let's make a weekend out of it. You do not have to be a camper but you do need to be able to hike 3 mph for 6 miles. If you do not camp, you can go on the hikes or just hangout at the campfire. It is all about the campfire. RVs and campers are welcome.
We will typical camp in Ohio, Ky and Indiana. Our favorite venues are group campsites. With the group sites there are little or no neighbors and have a lot more privacy.
This is an adult only group.
If you are a heavy drinker, you would not be a good this group. Most of our members are moderate drinkers or do not drink.
Please leave your dog at home. We have had issues with dog bites.

THE CAMPING
I have reserved Brown County State Park Rally Camp #1 for this event. The rally camp will accommodate up to 75 people. Follow signs for the campground and turn right just before the campground gate, our rally camp is on your right. This site has plenty of room for tent camping and has afternoon sun. This site is primitive with no access to electric but does have water and vault toilets nearby. There are modern toilets and showers available in the main campground within walking/biking distance. You will not have the ability to drive into the main campground. If you have a travel trailer and wish to camp with the group at the rally camp, please message me for details. This is boondocking, there are no trailer hookups at our camp. Please no generators!
FIRES
As always we'll have a group fire, please bring firewood. Note that all fire wood must be "de barked" that is all bark must be removed. Indiana will fine you if they find firewood with the bark on.
PETS
Well behaved and controlled pets are acceptable. However, please be aware that this is an outing where there may be others that do not enjoy the presence of your pet. Aggressive pets will be asked to leave.
GRUB
Let's do a chili dump dinner Friday night. Please bring a quart of your favorite chili to dump into the pot and a dish to share. You are on your own for all other meals.
