Indian Flatbreads: Cooking Workshop

Details
Parathas are one of the most popular form of Indian flatbreads, enjoyed across the country with different variations - with/without filling, layered textures, sweet or savoury.
Made with whole wheat flour as base, these breads are versatile and loaded with nutrients and energy. They are best served as breakfast or lunch and enjoyed hot. Unlike their trickier cousin "chapatti", they are easier to master and lend themselves to several variations.
Learn how to prepare 4 variations of these delicious breads from the entrepreneur behind Suananda Vegetarian Garden & Ayurveda, an oasis of good food and Ayurvedic healing in Silom.
1. Plain Paranthas - without stuffing. These classic breads are versatile and go along with wide variety of sides or simply with yoghurt and/or pickles/dips
2. Stuffed Paranthas - with filling of choice - potatoes or cauliflower - Known as the "breakfast of champions" in Northern part of India, these breads teamed with yoghurt and chutney serve a delicious power packed punch
3. Mint Paranthas - special crispy layered preparation interwoven with mint leaves
4. Banana Parantha - Suananda's signature recipe, their goodness needs to be tasted to be believed ! Your kid might switch over permanently from pancakes and be better for it.
Workshop will be a mix of demo and hands-on, upto your preference. At the end of workshop, we will enjoy our preparations at the beautiful Suananda Cafe. You can choose get take-aways as well.
