Free曼谷中文小聚 - Special art gallery exhibition

We are meeting at Maison JE for first solo exhibition in Thailand by Yu Chuan on 23/5 14.00

我是堉泉，我的藝術實踐始終是對時間流逝一種溫柔而堅定的抵抗。在創作生涯中，我致力於捕捉生命深邃的能量，從充滿磅礴動勢的題材，轉向枝椏與繁花蔓延間那股靜謐卻強大的生命力。
這樣的演變體現在我於曼谷的首場個展《停格的花季》之中。這系列作品與曼谷的文化脈動及傳統花串（Phuang Malai）息息相關。傳統花串的美體現了對生命「無常」的平靜接受，而我的畫布則試圖獻上一串串「永恆的花串」。
我將西方油彩充滿動感的滴流、潑灑與厚實肌理，揉合東方美學的氣韻與空間哲學，試圖將生命停格在最盛放的頂點。每一次灑落的顏料不僅是外在形貌的描繪，更是對無形生命氣息的捕捉。最終，我的繪畫剝離了花朵必然凋零的宿命；它們在另一個不朽的時空中，繼續生活、呼吸與綻放。《停格的花季》見證了我的信念：轉瞬即逝的美，亦能化為永恆。

บนท้องถนนในกรุงเทพฯ และหน้าศาลพระพรหม พวงมาลัยปรากฏอยู่แทบทุกแห่ง แม้จะรู้ว่าดอกไม้เหล่านี้จะร่วงโรยอย่างรวดเร็ว แต่ผู้คนก็ยังคงร้อยเรียงดอกดาวเรืองและดอกมะลิด้วยความเพียร เพื่อมอบความงดงามที่สุดในช่วงเวลาสั้น ๆ ดั่งการเผชิญกับ “ความไม่เที่ยง” ในชีวิตประจำวัน ซึ่งปรัชญานี้สะท้อนและสอดคล้องกับงานสร้างสรรค์ของศิลปินอย่างลึกซึ้ง
ในนิทรรศการนี้ ผลงานดอกไม้ของหยู่ ฉวน ถูกนำเสนอในฐานะ “Garland of Eternity” หรือ “มาลัยในห้วงนิรันดร์” เพื่อมอบให้แก่กรุงเทพฯ ทุกฝีแปรงและการซ้อนทับของสีเปรียบเสมือนเข็มและด้ายที่ร้อยเรียงกลีบดอกไม้ เชื่อมโยงเวลา ความรู้สึก และความทรงจำลงบนผืนผ้าใบ
หากคุณค่าของพวงมาลัยตั้งอยู่บนการยอมรับการเสื่อมสลาย แก่นแท้ของจิตรกรรมเหล่านี้จึงเป็น “การตรึงช่วงเวลา” ของดอกไม้ในช่วงที่เบ่งบานที่สุดไว้อย่างอ่อนโยน เพื่อให้คงอยู่ในฤดูกาลแห่งความงดงามโดยไม่ร่วงโรย

“Stillness in Bloom”, the first solo exhibition in Thailand by Yu Chuan Chang 張堉泉
On the streets of Bangkok and in front of the Erawan Shrine, traditional floral garlands (Phuang Malai) appear almost everywhere. Although these flowers are destined to fade quickly, people continue to thread marigolds and jasmine with devotion and care, offering their most beautiful form within a fleeting moment, an encounter with impermanence in everyday life. This philosophy deeply resonates with and aligns with the artist’s practice.
In this exhibition, Yu Chuan’s floral works are presented as a “Garland of Eternity,” or a garland suspended in eternity, offered to Bangkok. Each brushstroke and layered application of paint is likened to needle and thread, gently weaving petals together, binding time, emotion, and memory onto the canvas.
If the value of garlands lies in the acceptance of decay, the essence of these paintings becomes a gentle act of preserving a moment, holding flowers at their fullest bloom and allowing them to remain within an endless season of beauty without fading.
