Let’s bring our ideas together for next month assembly!

We’ll review past month's events, plan upcoming assembly and smoups and review volunteering roles. Time permitting we will discuss any improvements that are needed to keep building Sunday Assembly Seattle.

"Wonder More" - Join us for a series of informal walking (strolling) tours throughout the Seattle area.

Our next walk location is Lincoln Park in West Seattle. We will meet near the middle of the (middle/north) parking lot, near the sign-board/park-entrance. We will start walking 10 minutes after the start time, to give folks enough time to arrive.

For this walk, we’ll visit one of the ‘NW Trolls’, as well as enjoy a nice stroll along the waterfront.

For those with mobility concerns, there is one unavoidable section of moderate downhill dirt trail we must travel down. Participate accordingly.

RapidRide C Line bus stops in front of the park. If driving, arrive early, as the lot fills quickly this time of day. Short term street parking is also available in the adjacent residential neighborhood.

[optional] After the walk, some folks will meet up for a drink/snack/early-lunch at Cafe Osita on 35th & Webster. Carpooling to the cafe is available for those that arrive by bus.

“Help Often” - Help pick up litter in and around Myrtle Reservior Park and Highpoint Community Center.

Bring sturdy shoes, and appropriate clothing for the weather (sweat shirt? rain slick?)

Collection bags, gloves, and reacher-grabbers will be provided.

[Optionally, a few of us will be meeting at Cafe Osita, a couple blocks down 35th, at 11:30am to grab lunch before the cleanup. You’re welcome to join us.]

Monthly assemblies are a time for us to gather as a community to celebrate life and pursue ways to “Live better, Help often, and Wonder more.”

Each month we explore a new theme.
(This month’s theme has yet to be decided. We will update this announcement, two-three weeks before the event.)

What to expect at an assembly:
• Time to mingle – chat and catch up with other community members

• Singing together – sing along to popular songs (lyrics provided!)

• A reading – we glean wisdom from multiple sources. From a short passage in a poignant book to a moving poem, inspiration comes in many forms.

• Guest speaker, to talk to the month’s theme.

• Group discussion & reflection on the talk.

Come share in the warmth, wisdom, and good vibes.
