Nasi Padang is an Indonesian Minangkabau cuisine of steamed rice served with various pre-cooked dishes and is widely enjoyed in Singapore and Malaysia. It is a cherished, often artisanal meal chosen for its rich gravy and diverse, customizable options.
For the Meetup lunch on April 25th we’re cooking a mini selection of mains and side dishes.

  • Assam Pedas Fish
This fish stew dish is tangy and spicy, featuring fish slices cooked in assam (tamarind) fruit juice, chili, and spices.
  • Daging Rendang (Beef Rendang)
Beef pieces are slowly cooked in a rich sauce of coconut milk, lemongrass, ginger leaves, galangal, and other herbs, until the meat is tender and infused with the sauce's rich flavor.
  • Opor Ayam (Curry Chicken)

  • Tahu Telur (Tofu Deep Fried with Egg)
Tofu is dipped in egg and deep fried, then drizzled in a sweet and slightly spicy peanut sauce, and then topped with shreds of crunchy cucumber and coarse ground peanuts.
  • Sirap Bandung or Rose Milk
A deliciously sweet and creamy drink that smells of roses.
  • Steamed Rice

Nasi Padang is often considered a premium choice due to the laborious preparation, rather than typical fast mixed rice. The price per pax is ฿380.
