In-person event to discuss A Room Of One's Own, by Virginia Woolf at the excellent Royal Oak pub (close to Phrom Phong BTS) on October 23rd.

"A woman must have money and a room of her own if she is to write fiction".

This short work is based on two lectures given by Woolf at Cambridge University exploring social injustices and lack of free expression for women. It is acknowledged as one of the most influential books of the 20th century and is a seminal work of feminism.

Join us to discuss the author, the book, and the issues it raises.

The meeting will begin with an overview of the author, the book's themes, and the context within which the book was written and published.

The session is booked for 2 hours, but we often stay afterwards for general chat and drinks and you are very welcome to join us.

You don't have to have read the book to attend.
