Spend a slow and thoughtful afternoon with us this long weekend, as we host a cultural exchange on both Sunday and Monday from 12:00 PM to 2:30 PM (with Monday, 6 April 2026, being a public holiday in Thailand).

The session is inspired by the concept of Shojin Ryori—traditional Japanese temple cuisine—which emphasises harmony with nature through seasonal ingredients, mindful preparation, and an appreciation for balance and simplicity.

Drawing from this philosophy, often reflected in broader Japanese aesthetics, we will follow with an afternoon session of miniature Zen garden making—a chance to create your own landscape in miniature, where rocks symbolise mountains and sand represents flowing water, each element thoughtfully arranged to evoke landscapes and a sense of calm reflection.

Schedule:
12pm: Meet at Veg Japan, a Japanese vegetarian restaurant located in Chan Road for Shojin Ryori lunch.
1.15pm: Begin a sharing session on miniature zen gardens. Zen gardens are meant to evoke a sense of calm. We use items individually handcrafted from natural, sustainable materials, and design miniature zen gardens that are maintenance-free and visually aesthetic.

{Perfect for those who like a piece of nature in the home but without green fingers.}

Dimensions: approximately 10cm-15cm or 20cm.
A zen garden is conceived and created from the meditative inspiration of the gardener, and contemplating one is a doorway to meditation for the viewer.

Please kindly read before RSVP:
1. Admission fee: 350 baht.
It excludes:
- Shojin Ryori lunch (you may order separately based on your preference)
