Join us for a cozy night of live storytelling and listening, inspired by The Moth, the U.S. nonprofit fostering connection through personal storytelling.
Like The Moth, our mission is to connect authentically and build a community centered on shared human experience. We span a wide range of ages, backgrounds, cultures, and perspectives - we'd love to have you!
How the night works:
🎲 Part One: Storytelling Games (7:30–8:45PM)
Casual, on-the-spot prompts for everyone. Low stakes, high fun. No preparation needed.
🎤 Part Two: Prepared Performances (9:00–9:30PM)
Up to 5 prepared performances - storytellers must sign up in advance, and stories must be related to this month's theme.
All stories (both casual and prepared) follow The Moth's style:
🔹 True, personal and told in the first person
🔹 No longer than 5 minutes
🔹 Told from memory (no reading)
🔹 Rooted in emotion, vulnerability & self-growth

NARROW ESCAPES
Prepare a five-minute story about cheating fate—just barely. Dodging disaster by inches, slipping through a closing door, or talking your way out of a sticky situation. Heart racing, palms sweating, a big sigh of relief. Tell us about the tight squeezes, last-minute maneuvers, and lucky breaks that left you breathless and thinking, “that was way too close.”
