Cambridge Dance Party 2026
Details
Let's enjoy a nice evening at Central Square, Based on last year please be warned that there is no additional public bathroom or drink/food vendors. You have to rely on the established shops at Central Square for both.
There will be no QR Check In for this event. This event gets pretty crowded, if you are not with the group by 7 or you peeled off it will be extremely difficult to find the group (again). Please adjust your patience, expectations and feel free to do your own thing.
### About The Event ###
Join thousands of Cambridge residents and visitors who will gather on Massachusetts Avenue in front of Cambridge City Hall (795 Massachusetts Avenue) for the City’s Dance Party on Friday, June 26.
Prior to the Dance Party, residents and visitors can enjoy the World Cup match between Norway and France in Central Square on Temple Street starting at 3 p.m.
Enjoy face painting and soccer activities before the dancing begins!
This event is rain or shine, free, and open to the public.
Take the MBTA Red Line to Central Square and Cambridge City Hall is two blocks away. Party-goers, who bicycle to the event, will be able to check their bikes at one of the two bike valet locations at either end of the closed sections of Mass Ave.
Dance to DJ spun music! This is a special opportunity for the entire Cambridge community to celebrate the beginning of summer. After dark, colorful lights will be launched, adding to the magic of the evening.
This year’s event is once again organized by the City Manager’s Office, Cambridge Arts, and the Central Square BID, with support from numerous city departments.
Originally conceived in 1996 as part of the City of Cambridge’s 150th anniversary celebration, the Dance Party attracts young and old to join in the festivities.
