Come practise your foreign language skills (Dutch, English, Spanish, French, and more!) with other internationally minded people at our Amsterdam Language Cafe!
We organise single language nights (English, Dutch, Spanish, French, etc.) that take place on Wednesdays at Koentact Dutch Language School, Elandsgracht 70. We also organise All Languages Parties that take place on Fridays in De Hallen where you can practise all languages! Check out our upcoming events. Hope to meet you soon!

Want to learn Dutch the fun way? Meet Koentact!
Who is Koentact?
Koentact is Dutch language school and has founded the Amsterdam Language Cafe! :)Koentact offers Dutch classes for beginner, intermediate and advanced levels through a unique interactive method (including great 'Field Trips' to get to know Amsterdam better). Every 6 weeks there are new lessons starting and before the start of a new session, Koentact hosts an Open Evening.
The first upcoming event will take place in Amsterdam on Tuesday June 23.
How does the Open Evening work?
During the Open Evening you can get to know the teaching team and learn about the teaching method. If you are a complete beginner in the Dutch language, you can follow a Free trial lesson. If you are an intermediate or advanced speaker of Dutch, you can do a proficiency test.Make sure to register here for our in-person Open Evening: www.koentact.nl/open-day.
We will announce the location once you have registered for the event.Of course, you will also be able to officially enroll in one of the Dutch language courses of Koentact during the Open Day and... you can win 50% off a Dutch course. The Nexxxt Step is part of a pilot programme offering internationals in the Amsterdam Area the chance to meet new people, learn about the city and explore meaningful ways to participate in local life.
The event includes a guided session to help participants identify a next step they can take towards feeling more at home.### Who it's for
The session is for international professionals and their accompanying partners in the Amsterdam Area, looking to build social connections.
Participation is by invitation through a participating employer. Invited employees are welcome to bring an accompanying partner.### What to expect
- A relaxed setting with space for real conversation
- The story of Amsterdam and its surrounds brought to life
- Candid insights into building a social life and lasting connections
- The role of Dutch in supporting everyday interactions
- Ways to volunteer and engage with local communities
- Drinks and the chance to get better acquainted with participants
- No Dutch required – just openness!
