Hi, I’m Ela! I’m moving to Samsun from Auckland, New Zealand, and I started Expats Living in Samsun to meet others on a similar journey. Starting fresh in a new place is exciting but can be challenging, so I’d love to build a community where expats connect, share experiences, and feel at home. I enjoy seaside walks, good coffee, and creating spaces where people feel welcome.

This is a brand-new group for expats and internationals in Samsun. If you join now, you’ll be part of shaping the community from the very beginning.

The idea is simple: a space to meet new friends, practise Turkish, swap local tips, or have company for a coffee or seaside walk.

Because the group is new, our first events will be small and casual — a few people meeting for coffee/tea, exploring the city, or just getting to know each other. Over time, we’ll grow into a supportive, social community that makes Samsun feel like home.
