Meet 8:30 AM at the southern end of the Palisades Interstate Park Headquarters parking lot (1 Alpine Approach Rd, Alpine, NJ). Big loop hike starting on the Long Path, taking the Closter Dock Trail down, following the Shore Trail north, ascending on the steep Forest View Trail to the Long Path, and returning to Park Headquarters. We'll enjoy our lunch/snack at the Women’s Federation Monument, take in exceptional views, stop at Kearney House, and picnic areas along the way. Wear long sleeves and pants to protect against poison ivy and ticks. Bring at least 1.5 liters of water, basic first aid supplies, and a snack/lunch. Severe inclement weather cancels.
