Hemlock Overlook Park Out and Back Plus (Rating: B)

Join me for a hike on a pretty section of the Bull Run-Occoquan Trail starting at Hemlock Overlook Park!

The Route:
Start at the Parking Lot just outside Hemlock Overlook Regional Park, hike down to the Bull Run Trail, turn left and hike to Kincheloe Soccer Park stopping for a short break at the Picnic Pavilion, return to Hemlock Overlook on the Bull Run Trail and continue on Bull Run along a very scenic but rocky section with some difficult footing.

After passing the stream crossing of the Bull Run Trail turn right to climb a steep horse trail into Hemlock Overlook and return through the Park to our cars.

*Hike Starts: 9:00 AM (Please arrive at 8:45AM to sign in)
*Distance: 8.3 miles
*Elevation gain: 758 feet elevation gain
*Pace: Moderate-Fast Pace 2.5 mph when moving.
You must be experienced in hikes of this distance, pace and elevation gain.
