Basic CNC Router Operation

Class Description & Agenda:

This is a certification workshop required of members before you can use the CNC Router on your own. Since this is a "Level 3" machine, you will also need to demonstrate to an instructor that you can operate the router safely. A "check-out" session will be at a separate pre-arranged time, but there will be no additional cost.

We will cover some of the abilities of the machine, terminology, safety, PPM policies, and the complete setup and execution of a job.

Prerequisite (REQUIRED):

Knowledge of G code generation.

Check out our Vcarve class under our main page. The class is not required, the G code knowledge is.

This training focuses on the operation of the router - not the creation of models.

(2) Attendance Policy: If you are unable to make this class, please contact us on slack as soon as possible. If you do not show up and have not communicated to us that you will not be able to attend, the class cost is not refundable.

If you are more than 10 minutes late, it will be considered a no show. You will need to reschedule and the missed class will not be refunded.
