Introduction to Data Science Using Python and R

In this meetup we will be discussing basics of data science using open source tools, namely Python and R. We will be using Jupyter Notebook for reproducibility and ease of access.

This meetup will provide a gross overview of

• Data visualization

• Data preprocessing

• Regression/ Classification/ Clustering methods

• Model validation and prediction

Keep in mind that this is an introductory neetup. None of these topics will be discussed extensively. Subsequent meetups will cover these topics in detail.

To make the most of this meetup, you are advised to bring your laptops. To install and use Jupyter notebooks with both R and Python, you will need to install and configure Jupyter notebooks according to settings which will be sent via e-mail later on.
