Alban Day (the Alban Pilgrimage and Festival)

It commemorates St Alban, Britain’s first saint, with a vibrant city centre procession featuring 12-foot puppets, live theatre, and medieval living history in the Cathedral Orchard.

The Pilgrimage Procession (11:00 am - 12:00 pm) - a visual retelling of St Alban's story starting at St Peter’s Church and weaving through the city centre towards the Cathedral.

Alban Festival (12:00 pm - 5:00 pm) - enjoy Roman and medieval reenactments, chain maille making, apothecary displays, hands-on craft workshops, and family-friendly activities in the Cathedral Orchard and High Street.
