The Tampa Bay Ukulele Society

The Carrollwood Strummers Ukulele Group meets weekly on Thursdays to Strum and Sing from 12:00 to 1:30. We meet in The Studio at the Carrollwood Cultural Center. Look for the green building behind the main building. Access the parking from Casey Road.

Players at all levels welcome. We are still using printed song sheets. Additional songs are often handed out at our jams. We have a few players that also play tin whistles. Their songs are matched for the Uke players to strum and sing along.

Players will need to bring a music stand and your favorite Ukulele. Songs are sent out by email in PDF format to be printed. Copies are available at rehearsal for those with out a printer. If you prefer to use an iPad with the OnSong App - songs can be emailed in OnSong format (or beamed to you at the jam).

Come join The South County Strummers' Ukulele group's twice monthly get-together in St. Petersburg. We start at 1pm. We meet on the 2nd Thursday and the 4th Sunday of the month. We play songs, we learn a little, sing and laugh. Our friendly group welcomes all whether you're a seasoned player or a beginner. We meet in the auditorium of the beautiful refurbished Obama Main Library. Music is provided and shared. And we always have an extra ukulele or two to lend to visitors. Bring you instrument, music stand (table top or floor) if you have them, or just yourself. Come on down, check us out, and make new music friends!

The Honu is very family-friendly, with a new menu, great food, and drinks. There is a newly remodelled front dining and entertainment area, new signage, new fence, and new seating options. Arrive early for good seating! Players of all levels are welcome to perform in this supportive environment. Be sure to sign up for the open mic when you arrive, be tuned up, and have a few songs prepared. This is a ukulele event; the primary instrument must be the ukulele, but mixed-instrument groups with ukuleles are welcome. All levels of ukulele players and friends are welcome! Join in on the fun!
