Hey all, this year we are returning to a favorite spot to once again celebrate Chapter Two's very own, Tim. As you can see from the photo, Tim is a lucky man and it may seem sometimes like his birthday is every day, but his real one is coming up, and we are going to party at his favorite taco joint, this side of Taco Bell. So come join us the evening of Sat, April 25th at Plaza Oaxaca Rockville to raise a glass to Tim (or at least a taco shell). We will be at the high tops near the bar. If Tim's past bdays are an indication, there's likely to be dancing too, until the youngins arrive and shame us off the dance floor (or make memes out of us to share with their friends). So come one, come all, to wish our favorite seaman (a title Tim would particularly appreciate) our best wishes as he puts another year in the books and grows even wiser. Love Riot is a Baltimore-based indie rock band started in 1993. In 1994 Love Riot won MusicQuest, a worldwide contest sponsored by Yamaha, traveling to Japan and taking grand prize. They released four critically acclaimed albums before going on a hiatus in 2000. Now Love Riot is back, with a new album, Better Now, set for early 2026 release. Bring a chair. We will sit near the front to the right facing the stage.

This is a great class for beginner to intermediate players looking to get into bluegrass. Students will learn the basic chords and melody of one or 2 classic Bluegrass songs and how to approach playing them in a jam setting. Over the course of about an hour the class will play the tunes several times as a group exploring different possibilities for kickoffs, solos, endings and more. At the end of the class we open up the jam! Justin plays guitar and banjo with Cherry Blossom Special and runs jam sessions along and runs jam sessions along with mandolinist Nick Cameron and fiddler Mari Carlson.
