Home of Mid-Week Crisis and Sunday Drinks - we're a group of friends organizing events where the only goals are to hang out, have good conversations, and make friends!
Our group and events are open to anyone, but our ambition is to be a place for immigrants who are committed to Amsterdam for the long-term, and locals who want to meet new people. When we first moved to Amsterdam, we were looking for smaller, more intimate meetups with more regulars, and decided to create our own group for exactly that.
We aim to create a close-knit and welcoming environment where you feel at home immediately, and are always looking forward to the next event - and would love your feedback if that was not the case!
We have a zero tolerance policy for sexism, racism, homophobia, harassment or creepy/inappropriate behavior at our events. Our meetups are NOT singles/dating events, do not assume other attendees are here for this reason. If you notice any behavior at our events that make you or anyone else uncomfortable, please do not hesitate to reach out to the organizers - the sooner we hear about it, the better we're able to take action.

Rollende Keukens Food Festival
Westerpark, 9VPC+WF3 amsterdam, amsterdam, NLThe sun is (hopefully) out, the trucks are fueled up, and I’ve decided we aren't missing the biggest open-air kitchen in Amsterdam this year. Because apparently, I like to live dangerously and organize things at the very last second, we are heading to Rollende Keukens this Saturday!
If you haven't been, imagine dozens of food trucks rolling into Westerpark to see who can make the most delicious thing on four wheels.The Mission:
- 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM: The "Golden Window" where we can actually find food before the dinner rush turns into a tactical maneuver.
- The Food: We’ll be hunting down everything from gourmet bao buns to things I can’t pronounce but look amazing.
- The Vibe: Grab a drink, find some grass, listen to the live bands, and talk about how we definitely should have planned this sooner.
How to find us: Finding a specific person at Westergas during this festival is usually a miracle, so I’ll post a photo and share the location tag in the groups and wait for you for a bit once I’ve staked out our territory.
Bring your appetite, your favorite sunglasses, and your best "I didn't have plans until 10 minutes ago" energy.

This time we're going back to a location in Oud-West you've always liked a lot! Join us at Cafè Jacob for an evening of fun - just walk in, get a drink, meet fellow expats and make new international friends! We will have most of the bar reserved for us.
Note that the venue offers good (and reasonably priced) drinks and snacks, but you can also get a proper dinner if you want.

We aim to create a close-knit and welcoming environment where it's easy to make friends / good conversation, and you're always looking forward to the next event. As such, we do not tolerate any sexism, racism, homophobia, harassment or creepy/inappropriate behavior at our events.
RSVP POLICY
Please only RSVP if you are sure you can come. If you have signed up for the event but can't make it, please set yourself to "Not Going" by editing your RSVP. If you are listed as Going and then don't show multiple times, you may be removed from the group.
If the event is already at full capacity, you will be put on the waitlist. You may be picked from the waitlist if more spots open up, so keep an eye on your Meetup notifications.
Please remember that the waitlist exists for a reason. If you're on the waitlist, please don't show up unannounced. Thank you!

XXL picnic in Vondelpark (subject to good weather)
Vondelpark - We will meet at the PICASSO statue., Figure Découpée (L'Oiseau) Ámsterdam, Países Bajos, Amsterdam, NLNOTE: We will keep a close eye on the weather forecast, and may postpone if there's a large chance of rain!
In the summer months, several meetup groups in Amsterdam come together to bring everyone together for picnics in the park. Meet old friends and make new ones alike.
We'll be hanging out in Vondelpark, with a meeting point at the Picasso statue (Google Maps, Apple Maps). We'll share pictures of the group in the meetup event as well as our Whatsapp group so you can find us on the day.
You should bring (at your own risk, keep an eye on your belongings):
- Food and drinks for yourself - of course, if you bring enough to share with others, you do gain karma points
- Whatever you need to make yourself comfortable; a blanket, foldable chair, layers of clothing...
- Entertainment for yourself or others; games, bluetooth speakers, musical instruments...
What to expect from the event:
- There are usually a total of 60-90 people at the event, with lots of groups mingling.
- We officially start at 15:00, but lots of people are "fashionably late", so don't worry about being exactly on time. However, you will get kudos and points from the organizers if you are 😁
- Organizers will be there and can help you if you're having a specific issue, but meetups are ultimately just an opportunity to meet fellow meetup community members and make friends. Put yourself out there and make the best of it yourself!
As always, reach out to any of the organizers is you are the victim of or notice any inappropriate behavior, including but not limited to: Sexual harassment, racism, sexism, homophobia. Our events have a zero tolerance policy for inappropriate behavior, but we can only act on it if we know about it.
