Queer Swing Seattle in partnership with Swing It Seattle brings you this inclusive Lindy Hop class series.
Instructors: Adam Brozowski & Bradley Barrios
Class Description
This is the perfect place to start your Lindy Hop journey! Lindy 1 is an ELEF (Everyone Leads, Everyone Follows) class, meaning you’ll learn to both lead and follow in the same course. Our focus is on musical, expressive dancing and building skills to communicate, listen, and respond from either dance role.
No partner or prior dance experience required, just curiosity and a willingness to move. This is hands-down one of the most joyful ways to begin your Lindy Hop Journey!
What to Expect in a Queer Swing Seattle Class:
Queer Swing Seattle classes are intentionally designed to create an empowered, affirming space for LGBTQIA+ folks, as well as friends and allies. We center:
- Respect for pronouns and identities
- Clear safety and consent practices
- A welcoming, community-driven vibe
- Teaching approaches created by queer folks, for queer folks
You don’t need to identify as LGBTQIA+ to join us—just be fully on board with participating in a proudly, enthusiastically queer-positive space, both on and off the dance floor.
