Welcome to The Club Istanbul, a new branch of our private international social community. (Brussels, Naples, Dubai, Split)
This recurring Meetup is not one specific event. It is the entry point to our private WhatsApp community, where we announce and organize our actual events around Istanbul.
### WHAT IS THE CLUB?
The Club started as a simple idea: create a community where people don’t just accumulate hundreds of contacts in another social-media group, but actually meet and do things together.
We organize small and medium-sized social experiences designed to make it easy to meet people naturally.
In Istanbul, we’re just getting started, so the community itself will also help shape what we organize.
Expect things such as:
International dinners & Turkish food nights
After-work drinks & aperitivo
Bosphorus evenings & ferry adventures
Cooking nights
Cinema & cultural events
Live music & karaoke
Neighbourhood explorations
Museum & exhibition visits
Walks & day trips
Beach and sailing days
Weekend escapes
Spontaneous coffee, breakfast and dinner meetups
Some events will be planned well in advance. Others might simply be: “We’re having dinner in Kadıköy tonight, who wants to join?”
### A CURATED PRIVATE COMMUNITY
The Club is deliberately not an anonymous public WhatsApp group.
We want locals, internationals, expats, newcomers and travellers to feel comfortable joining an event even when they don’t know anyone beforehand.
For that reason, we vet new members before they join the community.
We have zero tolerance for harassment, unwanted persistent flirting, stalking or behaviour that makes other members uncomfortable. This is particularly important because many members, including women, attend events alone and some activities may eventually take place in private homes or other intimate settings.
Meeting someone you genuinely connect with is perfectly normal. Making somebody feel pressured isn’t.
All adult ages, nationalities and backgrounds are welcome.
English will normally be our common language, but this is Istanbul. Speaking three languages during dinner and understanding only two of them is practically part of the experience.

• Programme
• RSVP instructions

• Food/drinks when relevant
• Any participation contribution
• Last-minute and spontaneous events
Joining the community doesn’t commit you to attending anything. Simply follow the announcements and RSVP when something interests you.
### COME ALONE
You absolutely don’t need to already know somebody.
Many people arrive at their first Club event alone. That’s rather the point.
We prefer interesting small gatherings where strangers can become friends over giant events where 150 people exchange Instagram accounts and mysteriously never see one another again.
