Step off the beaten path and into a photographer’s dream on this unforgettable photo tour through the cultural heartlands of Yunnan, China and Laos. Designed for both landscape photographers and street or portrait enthusiasts, this curated journey takes you deep into two of Asia’s most visually compelling and culturally rich destinations—at the peak of their photographic seasons.
We begin in Yunnan Province, southwest China, where the majestic Honghe Hani Rice Terraces—a UNESCO World Heritage Site—unfurl across the misty mountain slopes like mirrors in the sky. In Yuanyang, you’ll capture otherworldly sunrise reflections, dramatic mountain light, and intimate environmental portraits of the Hani and Yi ethnic minorities, whose traditions remain vibrantly alive.
Next, we fly from Kunming into the mystical heart of Laos, a land where time slows and spirituality pulses through every frame. Explore the atmospheric streets of Luang Prabang, the sacred rhythms of Vientiane’s Buddhist temples, and the colorful life of Muang Xai’s ethnic villages.
