11 years of The Volleyball Rotterdam Meetup – The Smashing Expats

Hi everyone 🏐🎉
This training session is a special one. On Tuesday, 14 April 2026, we celebrate 11 years of The Volleyball Rotterdam Meetup – The Smashing Expats.
What started eleven (11) years ago as a small group of volleyball enthusiasts has grown into a strong, international community built on volleyball, consistency, learning, and connection. This evening is about celebrating that journey together – on the court and off the court.
The session will combine fun, game-based volleyball, light technical elements, and moments to play with different teammates. The focus is not on perfection, but on enjoying the game, the community, and the shared history we have built over the years.

Level: Open level (regular Smashing Expats format)
Date: Tuesday, 14 April 2026
Time: Gym opens 19:50 | Warm-up starts 20:00 | Volleyball & games until 21:55
Location: Putseplein 20, Rotterdam (5-minute walk from metro station Maashaven)

Game-based volleyball with rotating teams
Fun challenges and mixed play
Wrap-up, cool-down, and tidy up together
🎂 11-Year Celebration
After the session, we will take a moment to celebrate 11 years of Smashing Expats together. Expect a relaxed atmosphere, good vibes, and time to connect with people who have been part of this journey – whether you joined eleven (11) years ago or last month.
Afterwards, everyone is welcome to join for a non-alcoholic drink or a small snack at a place close to the gym, next to metro station Maashaven.

Please sign up via this Meetup event so we know how many people to expect.
A €4 (instead of regular €6) contribution applies for non-NeVoBo members.
Only clean indoor shoes are allowed.
