Have you got a mad scientist project to talk about?

Hi guys,

I hope you are well.

In partnership with IBM as part of this year’s sponsorship agreement, the LJC is arranging a Mad Scientist event to be held in the evening of 24 March at IBM’s Southbank premises.

I’d love to hear from anyone in the LJC who is available to get involved as a speaker and who has a mad scientist edged project to tell people about. Talks and demonstrations confirmed so far are on innovative, inventive projects that were created using tech and that have a practical application. For example some mind controlled kit is being demonstrated, an app for remote control of domestic heating and a talk on robots and clojure from LJC member Dave Snowdon. We would love to showcase some more  projects from LJC members! Some more talks along similar lines to the above would be awesome - How I used functional programming to auto-start my toaster - for example!

Please contact me directly if you have a potential talk. We would love to confirm our talks within the next couple of days, so if you do have a talk, please include the title and a one or two line description in your email.

Many thanks!

Maggie
