We're all overwhelmed, but just in case someone has a friend or relative in New York who could save this lovely doggie who has been in the shelter for three years and is about to be killed.

THIS IS HER LAST CHANCE AT A LIFE SHE HAS NEVER HAD!!!!!! URGENT!!!!!! SEE BELOW. This beautiful girl is Mary, and she has been languishing at the Brookhaven Animal Shelter for three years, now! Surely, someone out there can offer her a safe, loving home where she can finally feel like she belongs; where she can blossom  and shine and run free. Mary came into the shelter a younger dog, but sadly will be leaving (if she does leave) a senior. Despite three long years behind the bars of her kennel, and despite having to wait her turn for volunteers to walk her, Mary maintains a cheery outlook on life; just ask her friends. In fact, here she is posing for the camera, perhaps in the hope that her beautiful smile will melt someone's heart. Look at that gentle face.  Mary is a perfect lady. She loves all people. However, she must be the only four legged kid in the household. Now, that shouldn't be so hard, right? Most people only have ONE pet. Please help us try to find that one family or person who just wants one forever friend. Mary has been waiting and waiting to prove what a faithful, affectionate, amusing buddy she can be. How sad for her that she has been passed over so many times, for no other reason than she has to compete with too many other wonderful dogs. Please help this sweet girl. She has suffered isolation, stress and disappointment for three long years. No creature bred for human companionship should have to withstand all of that for so long.
