Dear friends,

 

I hope you all enjoy being part of our Meet up. It brings people together, keeps us posted about events in the Russian community, and helps our children keep their Russian language and culture. Our Meet up is a true community organization. It was founded by Irina Curtin in 2008 in order to promote Russian language and culture for the children. Irina lost her battle to cancer in 2009 at the age of 34. Her friends decided to keep the Meet up going. With the help of old and new meet up members we raised enough money to pay the Meet up dues for a couple of years.

Now it’s time to pay our fees again. The amount we need is $240 to cover this past year and next year. Please write your checks to Claudia Schmitt and mail to: Russian Meet up, 13 Maple Avenue, Upton, 01568, attn: Olga Holly. If we won’t raise enough money by December 31, 2012 we simply won’t cash the checks. I know it’s not the best time to ask for contributions, but I really don’t want our Meet up to close.
