Loading data into Redshift - simplified with Schema-on-Read ELT (Extract, Load, Transform)

While Amazon Redshift is becoming the preferred data warehouse solution for a number of reasons, there are easier and harder ways to ingest data from PostgreSQL or MySQL into Redshift.

Our talk considers a schema-on-read migration path using connectors based on the Embulk ( http://www.embulk.org/docs/ ) open source framework. As Embulk (and the connectors built on them) supports automatic guessing of input file formats, as well as parallel execution, we believe this migration path to be not only faster with fewer manual steps, but also more error proof than traditional migration paths we've seen people using in the field, even when migrating from an RDS based PostgreSQL or MySQL instance.
