To offer my dissent, ?this is one of the most appealing posts we've seen in a long time. ?This is recruiting "done right", IMHO.

??Yeah, some of the phrasing is weird. ?It also doesn't help that the company is named "Argus", who was (true) the guardian with 100 eyes, but was also famously stripped of what he was guarding when Hermes bored him to death and took it.

I love the job description from the website:

"Argus also provides the tools to defibrillate slowing markets and pump up strong markets for peak performance. Currently funded and generating real cash flow from customers, Argus is supported by a tremendous cadre of world-class advisors from around the world."

Apparently, the copy writer doesn't understand what "defibrillate" means. Defibrillation is a technical medical term in regards to applying electric shock to the heart to restore a normal rhythm. When a heart fibrillates, it is essentially spasming out of synch. It certainly does not mean that it is beating slowly. One can't "defibrillate" a "slowing market", that's just a non-sensical chain of words.

Also, a cadre, by its definition, is a small group of specialists. I'm not sure if the original writer is attempting to say "we have a large group of world-class advisors," since the traditional meaning of tremendous means large, or great. A "tremendous cadre" is therefore an oxymoron.?

Everyone,

I have a funded startup(both by angels and customers) that is looking to change the way that market research takes place. ?I'm looking to hire a Senior SW Engineer and a Web/Rails intern. ?

Basically market research today is less than timely or accurate, how else can you explain the growing volume of poorly designed products and services on the market today? ?Argus seeks to provide firms with the tools they need to avoid making poor innovation decisions. ?So I'm looking for people to join the team that are passionate about creating elegant and compelling experiences as that's what we need to do to influence the decision makers to use their powers for good.

You can find the job postings at http://recruiting.experienceanalytics.net. ?There is also some sample code that will come up in the interview process as I look for folks that can write better code than me(which honestly, isn't that high of a bar!)

Let me know if you're interested.

Cheers,

John

P.S. ?I've also included the descriptions below to save the effort of clicking on the link.
